About Us

We are a First Tech Challenge (FTC) team at Lincoln High School, dedicated to fostering innovation, teamwork, and STEM skills among students. Founded with the goal of providing hands-on experience in robotics and engineering, the club brings together students from diverse backgrounds who share a passion for technology and competition.

Each year, we as a club design, build, and program a robot to compete in the FTC season’s unique challenge. This process involves applying principles of mechanical engineering, computer science, and real world applications of physics. We collaborate and divide roles such as design, construction, coding, and outreach to make a overall well rounded team.

Participation in the FTC program not only enhances technical skills but also emphasizes core values like Gracious Professionalism and Coopertition, promoting respect and collaboration among teams. The Purple Axolotls works with local teams to advance robotics as a whole along with being competitive.

Beyond competition, the club actively engages with our local community through outreach, poltical activism and demos at schools. These initiatives aim to inspire younger students to explore STEM fields and develop problem-solving abilities.
